Today is a first for #IndiesOfChristmas! We have a Children’s book author in our mitts, how exciting is that? I don’t care who you are, if you say that you don’t have a sneaky look at children’s books and smile, you have a dark heart.
So our indie author of the day is Sarah Linx, who writes and illustrates childrenās picture books. She focuses on the children who are preparing to learn reading or just starting for the first time. Sarah’s author aim is to help children to enjoy reading and be proud of their accomplishments. What a goal to have!
Sarah lives with her family and pets in California, USA. Growing up with pets her entire life, Sarah has always loved animals and enjoys spending her time helping the homeless animals in her neighbourhood. As an advocate for animals and teaching, Sarah is dedicated to encouraging children to develop an interest in reading from a young age, through a series of stories about animals that are familiar to them. Sarah is currently pursuing a degree in early childhood education and believes that every child deserves a wonderful education.
The first of Sarah’s books is Counting Kitties which is available in both e-book and paperback formats.
Emerging young readers can count their way up from numbers 1-10, while rhyming their way through situations that our beloved furry family members could get themselves into throughout the day!Ā
The next of Sarah’s illustrated child’s book is Kittyās First Day of SchoolĀ . Again, it’s available in both e-book and paperback format.
Kitty the Calico is a young and energetic kitten, who is going to school for the very first time. While at first she was scared to be away from home for so long, Kitty quickly learns that school is nothing to be afraid of.
So, if there’s some tiny humans in your life that your struggling with gift wise, why not buy them an indie child’s book? It makes sense right and Sarah writes her books with love and care. Only the best for the next generation!
